Update for members 27/06/09

News:

Two club staff are unwell. Gerry has been hospitalised for an illness and is awaiting to undergo tests. Lisa in the office has injured her back, we wish them both a speedy recovery.

In the absence of Gerry a group of members have pitched in to help fill the gap until he returns. The committee really appreciate their support. In the absence of Lisa the phones have been forwarded to a member of the committee.

Fees:

       Most members should have received their fee invoices for the year 2009/10. Some categories will receive theirs in the coming days. It would be appreciated if members could pay their fee’s as soon as possible to assist the club. For those who wish to pay in instalments, could the first instalment please be paid by the end of June. The second and third instalments are due on August 1 and October 1 respectively. If you wish to pay in full, payment is requested by the 1^st of July.

       Golflink:

       The committee expresses its thanks to Phil King for making available and connecting the computer equipment for Golflink. Also thank you to Charles Coleman and Ian Landy for their efforts to get Golflink to work. All competitions will now be controlled from the one place. To those members who also offered equipment to the club, the committee thanks them for their offer.

Clubhouse Update:

       The final plan for the old clubhouse with elevations and amendments etc has yet to be presented. When it comes to hand and endorsed by the committee the insurer will determine the replacement cost of the clubhouse.

Some have asked if the members are able to express views to be considered when developing the new facility. If you have some idea’s about this then please write these down and give them or send them to the secretary.

Power has been restored to the work sheds for the first time since the clubhouse fire. The ground staff are to be commended for working under such adverse conditions given the need for an early start each day.

 AGM:

Due to the disruption following the two fires, permission is being sought to hold the AGM on 31 July 2009.
